Cathedral of Deliverance is a multi-cultural church, strong in preaching and teaching the word of God. We seek to glorify God and to do His will in all things. We believe in salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ, sanctification, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Our mission is to bring people to Jesus and to membership in His family... to develop them to Christ-like maturity by equipping them for their ministry in the church and their life's mission in the world, thereby bringing glory and honor to God's name.

We would like to introduce you to our pastor, Rev. Gloria Ortiz. Pastor Ortiz founded Cathedral in 1973 . In the years since, she has become overseer of Cathedral of Deliverance #2 in Eupora, MS. Pastor Ortiz is married to Bro. Juan Ortiz, and has two sons and a grandson. Pastor Ortiz was named Fruitland Citizen of the Year in 1995. She is a past member of the Fruitland Planning and Zoning Board and was elected to the Fruitland City Council in Autumn of 1996.

The traits that stand out most about Pastor Ortiz are her love for the Lord and her love for people. Her dynamic and hard-hitting messages help her congregation come up to the mark set before them by the Bible.

The Brownsville Influence

Pastor Ortiz visited Brownsville Assembly of God in Pensacola, Florida in October, 1997. We are happy to report . . . Our church has not been the same since!! The evening after her return from Florida, the Spirit of Repentence fell over the entire congregation. Since that evening, Rev. Ortiz has returned to Brownsville twice. The first time was to get more of what she received the first trip. On the second trip in March of 1998, she took the members of the church staff with her. There are two things that are being said over and over - "Awesome!" and "More, Lord!". The excitement of the Holy Spirit is in the House. If you are in the neighborhood, stop by!! Look what the Lord has done!
